Maui’s Best Snorkeling, Mai Tais & More

Skip the early alarm and spend the afternoon aboard the widest, most stable sailing catamaran on Maui. While Molokini is our North Star, the trade winds make the call. Your Captain will scout the safest, clearest, calmest water, whether that’s the crater’s edge or a secluded turtle sanctuary hidden along the coast. Enjoy hand-shaken Mai Tais all afternoon, Maui’s largest onboard bar, and island-style pupus along the way. The best of Maui, we take you wherever the magic is.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Molokini & Mai Tai Adventure?

This seasonal summer Molokini Crater snorkeling tour is a relaxed, captain's-choice afternoon snorkel. Running from June through August, we find the calmest water, either Molokini Crater or a premier alternate reef, while serving hand-shaken Mai Tais, island pupus, and zero-proof mocktails. It's the easygoing way to experience the best snorkeling in Maui.

When can I book this snorkel trip?

This seasonal charter operates exclusively from June through August. With a relaxed 1:00 PM departure, it is the perfect way to experience world-class Maui snorkeling and snorkel at Molokini without setting an early morning alarm.

Is the snorkeling the same as the morning Molokini tours?

When conditions allow, you will snorkel the exact same world-famous Molokini Crater. If afternoon winds make the crater choppy, your captain pivots to wherever conditions are best, making this a flexible Molokini or Turtle Town snorkeling experience.

What's included on this afternoon tour?

Guests get premium snorkel gear, expert instruction, and guided exploration at the best available reef. Onboard amenities include hand-shaken Mai Tais, local-style pupus, a full open bar, a zero-proof mocktail program, bow hammocks, and an onboard photographer, delivering all the luxury you expect from our Maui snorkeling tours.

How is it different from the Molokini Deluxe?

The Mai Tai Adventure is a laid-back, three-hour afternoon excursion focused on easygoing snorkeling, craft cocktails, and light bites. The Molokini Deluxe is our iconic five-hour morning Molokini snorkel tour featuring multi-course breakfast and lunch buffets at the most ideal time to snorkel Molokini Crater. Both deliver the experience of snorkeling in Maui at its absolute best.

Is it good for families and beginners?

Yes, this Molokini snorkeling tour welcomes all ages. The later start time and the stability of our wide 65-foot catamaran make it an effortless, beginner-friendly choice for families wanting to snorkel Molokini on a relaxed afternoon.

Can I see turtles on this trip?

Very often, yes. If the captain finds that a coastal reef offers better conditions than the crater, this trip becomes a beautiful Turtle Town experience, giving you an excellent chance to swim alongside Hawaiian green sea turtles.
